This is our Excellent Adventure Thru-Axle. It upgrades your bike's rear end for hauling cargo trailers, should you feel like taking Rufus along on your errands. Extensive product testing with our Bill and Ted Trailers provided an "awesome experience," but time travel remains a risky endeavor. Designed for use with slotted horizontal or vertical single-position dropouts, the Excellent Adventure Axle is compatible only with 12 x 148mm hubs. Compatible Surly models include Skid Loader, our compact electric cargo bike, as well as Karate Monkey, Krampus, Grappler, Ogre, Lowside, ECR, and Troll. Once again, the 12 x 148mm hub requirement cannot be overstated. Visit your local Surly dealer to discuss other scenarios you may have in mind. - 12 x 148mm hub compatibility only - Designed for use only with Surly's Bill and Ted Trailers - Works with slotted horizontal or vertical single-position dropouts

Hi, I'm the Surly Lightweight Neck Toob. You might remember me from such films as “It's Cold! Don't Forget Your Neck Toob!" and “Look At This Thing, It Came From a Sheep!" Right now you might be thinking, “But Surly, I already have a Neck Gaiter from you guys. Do I really need a Neck Toob?" And the answer is maybe. Unlike the existing Neck Gaiter, which is made of a light inner layer and a midweight outer layer, I'm made of two lightweight layers. For those days when it's too chilly to leave your face and neck exposed but not cold enough for the full-blown Gaiter, I try to provide a nice, moisture-wicking alternative. I'm sized to fit most necks, and I can be worn a bunch of different ways. Thanks for tuning in, we'll see you next time. Your Friend, The Surly Neck Toob

The 12mm slotted MDS dropout is the newest chip for Surly's MDS equipped trail frames. You like chips, don't you? The 12mm slotted dropout chip uses a standard derailleur mount for maximum compatibility and is made of cast and machined 6061-T6 aluminum, with a fender eyelet. What's the coolest part about the 12mm slotted MDS chip, you ask? The fact that it also has the capability to run a 12 x 142mm thru-axle in a single speed configuration. This is good news because single speeds are good news. When you get an MDS equipped frame you're getting the option to set it up however you want. You can run a 142 x 12mm thru-axle rear end with a direct mount Shimano hanger, standard 135mm QR or The Mighty Singlespeed. The way this will work is that Surly complete bikes that feature the MDS will ship with whatever chip is compatible with derailleur spec. For instance, the complete Instigator 2.0 ships with the 142 x 12mm thru-axle Shimano chip. If you want to change it to a singlespeed later (and why wouldn't you?), all you have to do is get the SS chip. Frames will ship with all three MDS chips so pick your poison. The 142 x 12mm and 135mm QR chips are made of cast and machined 6061-T6 aluminum and The Mighty Singlespeed chip is 304 stainless steel, because the two words 'aluminum' and 'singlespeed' should never be too close to each other. Bad things can happen…. As you can see, the MDS gives you not just different build options, it lets you use a more varied selection of parts for your frame up builds. The MDS is featured on most of our trail bikes. That's right: Krampus Ops, Karate Monkey Ops, Instigator 2.0 and Ice Cream Truck frames all sport these puppies.

A neck gaiter is a versatile piece of clothing. It can be worn in many different ways and assume many different uses. Wear it around your neck to keep the warm air in and the cold air out. Pull it up over your face when there is a biting wind. The options are limited only by your imagination, plus it’s wool so you know it’s going to do the trick keeping you warm. Our neck gaitor is, in fact, made of two layers of wool. The inner layer is light, the outer is midweight thus bolstering its warming, wicking and all-around-comfort-against-your-skin properties. One size fits most necks.

Surly's Stainless Steel Chainrings last longer than their aluminum brethern because the 304 grade metal they use is 35% stronger. The rings aren't pinned or ramped so when one side starts to wear you can flip it around and pedal some more! They work great with singlespeed, fixed, and 1x9 applications, and the teeth are 2.2 - 2.3mm thick so they work well with wider chains.

These are designed specifically for use with the Big Dummy frame and Dummy rails, and will not work with Xtracycle rails. WARNING: Properly installed Dummy Rail Collars are required for carrying live cargo on your Big Dummy.

The Knard is a tire that just makes sense. With its tightly-spaced, low-block tread pattern, it provides the perfect ratio of traction and low rolling resistance. It grips well on all sorts of different surfaces and will haul some sausage on hardpack terrain or groomed trails. If you want a tire that has a little less bite and a bit more speed but don't want to sacrifice traction, look no further.
